Another work in progress! I still suck balls as far as environments are concerned, but I’m endearvouring to improve. Work for a personal project :)

Well, I was going to blog my book cover illustrations for Seven Sorcerers and Shadow Spell, but I was beaten to it! :)

A very half assed doodle / painting (I didn’t even finish her limbs) inspired by Aisling from The Secret of Kells. I wasn’t particularly blown away by the film, but I’ll be damned if I don’t love a girl with swooshy hair. About 2 hours.

The music from Journey, a terribly beautiful game.

The score is amazing… and it’s about 99% more amazing when you actually play it through. A string focused score, my favorite <3

Newest painting - the next day! It’s coming along pretty well, considering there’s a very thin line between me loving and despising my traditional work. You guys asked for updates - and so you shall receive them :)

Acrylic, watercolour, faber castell crayons and white gel pen.

Working on some traditional stuff again! I always seem to have ridiculously long gaps between traditional work, lots of fun though :)

It’s a mix of watercolour & acrylic, so far.

I’ve been going through some of my photos from last years Green Man Festival and it’s making me want to go again this year! If only to take pictures, it was so much fun.

A current work in progress (another, you say?) of some lovely willowy and curvey women. I think drawing women will be a life long love affair for me, le sigh. Oh, and derrières are mighty fun to paint.
Photoshop CS5, Wacom Intuos 4, no references.

I’m not sure how many years old this photograph is, I’m pretty sure I was in the later years of college. It sure makes me miss my long hair though, waaaah! Taken by my friend Amy <3

I managed to salvage some files I thought I’d lost from my old husk of a PC. This is one of the photo’s I took at my Uncles wedding. My favourite moments are nearly always when people are paying zero attention to me. Long live candid <3

The painting to go with my tutorial in Imagine FX, issue 79. A Día de Muertos themed girl. My gravestone will read ‘she drew pretty girls in pretty dresses’… I’m sure of it.
Yes I know, she probably reminds you all of Sylvia Jii’s work!

A small group of sketches for a personal project I’m working on. These were done with blue lead, although the contrast is ramped up in PS :)

A painting in progress! This is about an hour in. I’ve tried numerous times over the years to try and paint some kind of snowscape, but they’ve always turned out rather like shit. This though? I actually kind of like it. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but I like it so far :) I might actually finish this one?
