Just a quick update to let you lovely people know you can buy Limited Edition Fine Art prints in my Etsy!
All prints are limited to a run of 50 each, and it’s the only place you can buy hand signed and numbered prints directly from me. It’s also the only place certain prints will be for sale, period.
Smooches <3
An Illustration that I’ve slowly been working on during my lunch breaks. I don’t normally take my time quite this much, but it was really enjoyable!
This is available as a hand signed and numbered, limited edition print run in my Etsy shop.

I opening up an Online Mentorship!
I’ve been asked many times before if I’d ever consider mentoring. In the past I’ve always shrugged it off as not being experienced enough, but; after spending the last couple of years working as a Concept Artist and Illustrator 9 to 5, I feel as though I might just have a little knowledge I can share with you guys.
Essentially, I will take you under my wing and allow you to ‘pick my brain.’ I will help you with what it is you want to learn. Read on if you’re interested!
How it works:
Portfolio Review: First things first, we’ll start with a portfolio review. We’ll go over your work and discuss where you’d like to take it. We’ll figure out what your strengths are and discus how to improve your weaknesses.
Tailor Made Lessons: What you learn is up to you. I will provide lessons and live demonstrations based on a variety of subjects. If you wish to focus solely on a particular area however; then the choice is yours. I will tailor the lessons to what it is you want to learn.
Weekly Demos: Each week I will spend a couple of hours doing live demonstrations. I will cover a variety of topics that will help you with your work. You are more than welcome to request topics.
Weekly Paintover & Critique Session: Each week I will review your work and provide a live paintover and feedback session. This will be your opportunity to ask questions! I will provide a critique and we can discuss how the piece can be improved.
Assignments: If you feel as though you will have better results through assignments and deadlines, I can provide those for you.
WHAT TO DO: If you would like to take part in my Online Mentorship program, email me here at charliebowater@hotmail.com
*Provide a link to your portfolio or attach a selection of low-res JPG’s (ten maximum.)
*Please include a brief explanation of what you’d like to get out of the mentorship.
Price
$550 / month.
When does it start?
Applications will be on a rolling basis long term, but some applicants may be able to start immediately. Positions will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
What are the requirements?
Time, a good internet connection and a strong grasp of the English language. We won’t get very far if we don’t understand each other!
How long is the Mentorship?
Mentoring will be on a month to month basis. You can continue the mentorship for as long as you want.
If you have any questions / would like any more info / would like to apply; please email me at charliebowater@hotmail.com
Thanks guys : )
We have Learning Lunches at Atomhawk every so often. It’s essentially a show and tell where one of our Artists will paint a demonstration of a chosen subject, while the rest of us sit around stuffing our faces watching the big screen. I’ve never considered myself gifted when it comes to any kind of public speaking, even with the people I work with, but practice makes perfect.
They’re good fun and it was my turn this week! So I painted a little skin demo. The face on the left is around 40 minutes, and the face on the right is about 1.5 hours. I thought this might be fun to share.

Sharing a little more of the work I get up to at Atomhawk
I had soooo much fun working on the Orphan Boy :) I wonder if I can dig out the variation sketches I did of him.
“Doctor Who : The Adventure Games - Gunpowder Plot”
Finally found some time for personal work again! It’s a nice change of pace.
I’m thinking of offering this up (when it’s done) as a limited edition print run, which I will number and sign myself. Something I’ve never done before. Please let me know if anyone would be interested :)
Photoshop CS5 & Wacom Intuos 5, about two hours so far. Stay tuned for more updates, I’ll be keeping you all in the loop as it progresses.
The original of this painting is now available in my newly opened Etsy shop. There have never been any prints of this produced, it’s a one off, signed and dated original. My shop is here :)
Sharing my entry for the Tomb Raider competition going on over at Deviantart. This was a few late nights worth of fun!
I made a video, it seems! I finally had a weekend with some free time so I decided to mess around with my camera (and boy do I mean mess.) I guess this is what is a Sunday looks like in my home. I’m perpetually enamored with my dog, so it’s lots of footage of her… and some of our stuff scattered around the house. But, mostly my dog.
A little lunch break doodle from before Christmas. Making up for the long absence?
