I look crazed, disheveled, and the only silver lining to waking up early is that I can get caffeine in my system just that much faster, or so I tell myself. I’m much more of a night owl, but my current schedule does not permit such a luxury as going to bed at two in the morning. So the only way I’ve found to make time for writing or painting is to make myself get up even EARLIER. 5:00AM, folks. Yep. That’s right. A couple of months ago I would have considered the idea to be ridiculous, as five in the morning is still middle of the night in my mind. I still consider it ridiculous, but I must say I enjoy the quiet. And if I do get up so early, then I reward myself with a freshly brewed cup of Joe before work. I am one to think that there is always time to do something. It simply requires that I make time. That certainly deserves a reward, right?!
